A vehicle having a security system comprising a battery operated surveillance unit 6 and portable viewing means 8, the surveillance unit comprising a camera and transmitter means for transmitting surveillance data from the camera to the portable viewing means, the surveillance unit being attached to the vehicle by releasable attachment means (fig 4, 7 and 8). The surveillance unit is portable when not attached to the vehicle. The releasable attachment means being such that it has a locking device for helping to prevent the surveillance unit from being stolen from the vehicle. |
