<p>Disclosed are a can cap sealing composition having superior squeeze-out resistance and sealing performance and a method for using the same. A cap is coated with a sealing composition comprising a rubber component, a tackifier, a filler and an organic peroxide as essential ingredients, the cap is seamed to a filled can and then the sealed can is subjected to a heat-treatment in which a sterilization and a cross-linking reaction take place simultaneously.</p>
