Intended is to form a stress cone which is so simplified as to require no semiconductor rubber therein. Provided is a connecting portion comprising an insulating bushing (11) having a receiving port (14) at its trailing end portion for receiving the end portion of a connecting member (2), and an end portion of the connecting member (2) to be removably connected to the receiving port (14). The connecting member (2) includes an insulating member (22) disposed on the outer periphery of the conductor and having a rubbery elasticity, and an external semiconductor layer (24) disposed on the outer periphery of the insulating member (22) across the portion leading to the entrance of the receiving port (14). An annular metal ring (13) is buried concentrically with the bushing (11) on the side of the trailing end portion of the bushing (11), and is extended on its leading end side to the position around the leading end portion of the external semiconductor layer (24). The metal ring (13) is more extended toward the leading end portion of the bushing (11) than the leading end portion of the external semiconductor layer (24). Moreover, the bushing (11) is positioned at its leading end portion in a device case (C), and is hermetically fixed at its trailing end portion on the peripheral edge portion of an opening (C1) formed in the device case (C).
