<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auction system that handles furniture having been used in an exhibition as auctioned articles and qualifies visitors to the exhibition site as bidders. <P>SOLUTION: The auction system comprises visitor code indication carriers with an indication of an exhibition visitor code, a visitor code reader installed at an exhibition site, customer communication terminals, and an auction information management server. The auction information management server requests a customer communication terminal ready to make an auction bid to transmit the visitor code used at the exhibition site, searches registered visitor codes read in at the exhibition site for the same code as the visitor code received from the customer communication terminal, and if finding it present, permits the customer communication terminal to make a bid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
