<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna structure which is superior in radio wave receiving performance and is not restricted by material constraints or design constraints, and to provide a radio-controlled clock using the antenna structure. <P>SOLUTION: This antenna structure receives radio waves used inside a metallic exterior case. The antenna structure comprises a main magnetic path with a coil wound around a magnetic core and a sub-magnetic path with no coil wound around the magnetic core, a magnetic path formed along the magnetic core forms a closed loop, a gap is provided at a portion of the magnetic path of the antenna structure constituting the closed loop, the gap part is configured so as to have reluctance or permeability different from that of the other parts, and the gap is filled with material different from material constituting the magnetic core. The antenna structure has a structure that although can receive magnetic flux generated by external radio waves is unlikely to have magnetic flux due to resonance leak to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
