PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the maximum power point tracking control of a solar battery without detecting the output power and output current of the solar battery. SOLUTION: This solar pump system has a pump 16 driven by a DC motor 14 using a solar battery 10 as a power supply, and a controller 12 controlling a revolution of the DC motor 14 according to the generated energy of the solar battery 10 which changes according to sunshine. The controller 12 has functions 26a and 26b which detect the operation current and revolution of the DC motor 14 respectively and tracks or searches an operation point at which the product of the operation current and the revolution is maximum to control the revolution of the DC motor 14. |
