SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING DATA IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A data transceiver system in a communications system and a method thereof are provided to prevent the abnormal operation of a receiver and to minimize power consumption of the transceiver and interference effect by confirming the receiver that data transmitted does not exist and transmitting a padding packet to the receiver if data does not exist in a communications system. A transmitter allocates resources to a circuit mode(201). If data transmitted through the resources allocated to a receiver does not exist, a padding packet is produced and transmitted a message to the receiver(207). The padding packet includes padding bit string and a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy check Code). The circuit mode is a mode that the transmitter continually allocates resources for a specific frame.
