PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clarifying apparatus of drain water from an instrument which can effectively suppress slime production and bacterial breeding in the drain water stored in a drain pan and smoothly discharges the drain water to prevent leakage of the drain water outside. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner as an instrument equipped with the drain pan 20 for receiving the drain water D, the clarifying apparatus of the drain water 18 is equipped with a clarifying section 23 for producing singlet oxygen by light sensitization or sound sensitization.
