STATION NAME NOTIFYING SYSTEM, USER PORTABLE TERMINAL, AND STATION NAME NOTIFYING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically indicate a station name in a user portable terminal upon arrival and departure of a train on which the user is aboad, about all stations in a using section of the user regardless of a destination station of the user.

SOLUTION: The user registers the position information of each used station in a station position information database 171 of the user portable terminal 10 in advance. An automatic ticket gate 10 transmits ticket examination information by non-contacting communication when the user portable terminal 10 is held over. The user portable terminal 10 starts measuring by an acceleration sensor 15 by receiving the ticket examination information. The position information is obtained when the acceleration sensor 15 detects deceleration not less than a predetermined value. A station name registered corresponding to the obtained position information is extracted from the station information database 171 and indicated. When the acceleration sensor 15 detects acceleration not less than the predetermined value, the station name display carried out when detecting the deceleration is finished.
