PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source processing device, a method, a program, and an information recording medium that make it possible to play music with small deterioration in sound quality. SOLUTION: A sound source is processed according to codec (COder-DECoder) characteristics of a mobile terminal, a plurality of processed sound source files are previously created and stored, and sound quality improvement processing using parameters more suitable to individual musical pieces is performed at a request for playback.
