PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a pint and composition of an image to be photographed in real time on an external device even during a processing in which recording image data is transferred from the photographing device side to the external device. SOLUTION: A photographing means 14 photographs an image. An image data generating means generates recording first image data and second image data for a live view from the image photographed by the photographing means 14. For example, when a control means checked an operation instruction pertaining to a photographing condition such as a focus processing or the like during a transfer of the first image data by a transfer means 112, the control means transfers the second image data to the transfer means 112 prior to the first image data.
