PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device for a vehicle capable of restraining the problem of becoming insufficient in deceleration, when controlling the shifting of a transmission based on a travel environment parameter. SOLUTION: This driving force control device for the vehicle controls the shift of the transmission based on target deceleration (S3 and S7), by determining the target deceleration (S2) based on the travel environment parameter (S1), and changes a mode of shift control based on an increase gradient of the target deceleration (S4 and S5).
