PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide roller for a sliding door having appropriate constitution not limited to the specifications of a conventional rolling bearing in consideration of its use for guiding the sliding door. SOLUTION: The guide roller 1 for the sliding door comprises a rolling bearing 1 having an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, a plurality of balls 4 disposed between the center parts of both rings 2, 3, a cage 5 for holding the plurality of balls 4, and right and left seal members 7 disposed between the right and left ends of both rings 2, 3; and a resin coating member 6 coating the outer ring 3 of the rolling bearing 1 to constitute the outer peripheral surface of the guide roller which rolls on a guide rail.
