PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin excellent in crystallinity even having a low melting point, capable of being produced in a good operation property, and suitably used for various adhesive uses including a binder fiber. SOLUTION: This polyester resin consists of a dicarboxylic acid component consisting mainly of terephthalic acid and a diol component having≥50 mol% 1,6-hexane diol is characterized by having melting point of 100 to 150°C, containing 0.01 to 5.0 mass% polyolefin as a crystal-nucleating agent and having a DSC curve obtained by the DSC, showing its crystallization by decreasing temperature and satisfying following formula (1).
