PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously materialize the reduction of air resistance of a satellite, good posture control, protection of aerodynamic heating, and decreasing of size and weight. SOLUTION: In an artificial satellite 100, a satellite tip end is made to have a conical shape for reducing air resistance, and other components are disposed in a rear part thereof. In order to protect the inside from aerodynamic heating, a sliding type shell 12 is provided on the outside, and in order to positively use air force for posture control, a plurality of variable flaps 13 is provided on a satellite rear lateral side surface.
