PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-floating type axle supporting device capable of suppressing misalignment of an axle axially outward, even when wear between both track surfaces of an inner ring and an outer ring and a ball becomes remarkable. SOLUTION: The axle 20 is inserted in an axle pipe 10 supported by a suspension device of a vehicle, and the axle 20 is supported in a housing 11 at an end portion of the axle pipe 10 by a rolling bearing 30. The outer ring 31 of the rolling bearing 30 is fitted and fixed in a bearing assembling portion 12 of the housing 11, and on the other hand, the inner ring 35 of the rolling bearing 30 is retained to a retainer ring 50 fitted and fixed on a shaft of the axle 30 at an end surface. Outer diameter dimensions of the retainer ring 50 are formed to be larger than inner diameter dimensions of the outer ring 31.
