A shaped end mill contains cylindrical or conical cutting part with screw cutting edges and screw shaving grooves with the angle of slope ω and spherical cutting part of the mill with end cutting edges, front and rear surfaces of the mill, which form screw and end cutting edges. The front and rear surfaces of the spherical part of the mill are conical. The bases of cones are the end cutting edges, which are located in plane, which penetrates the vertex of the mill and is tangent to the screw cutting edge at the transition point of the spherical part of the mill into cylindrical or conical. The generatrices of conical surfaces are located at instrument angles γ of front and α of rear surfaces of the mill. |
