<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion estimation apparatus for calculating a right motion vector between a target image and a reference image. <P>SOLUTION: The motion estimation apparatus 10 comprises a flow estimation unit 12, a weight calculation unit 14 and a flow filtering unit 16, the flow estimation unit 12 estimates a motion vector from the target image and the reference image, the weight calculation unit calculates weight from residual difference between frames, and the filtering unit 16 calculates a final motion vector by averaging the estimated motion vectors using the weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
