<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an inspection program capable of easily determining the causes of printing failure by measuring the print results. <P>SOLUTION: A printing data generating section generates printing data for an inspection image. An image forming section generates printing data for the inspection image on paper. A drive control section will not convey the paper to a paper ejection tray but will flip over the paper from back to front by the use of the double-sided printing mechanism and conveys the paper to the image forming section again. The image forming section does not carry out image formation; by inverting again drive control section, the paper from back to front by the use of the both-sided printing mechanism and the paper is conveyed to the image forming section; the image forming section carries out second image-formation on the paper; by repeating this operation, printing of the printing data for the inspection image is repeated, the drive control section performs this operation, and the paper to is conveyed the image forming section; the printing data generating section generates the printing data for a scale image; and the image forming section generates data for the scale image on the side with the inspection image printed thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
