<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp incorporating a negative ion generator with little generation of pollution in spite of its simple structure and low cost, and capable also of being applied to a type of a fluorescent lamp not incorporating a ballast. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp (20) with a ballast mounted outside, electrically coupled for use with a fluorescent lamp fixture (12) mounting a ballast circuit (14) and a lamp socket of a terminal pin insertion hole (15) system, includes a bulb (22), and a base (24) at an end part integrally combined with the bulb (22) with terminal pins (26) pinched by the terminal pin insertion holes (15) of the lamp fixture (12).
