PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device, such as a liquid crystal device, which can display high quality images by preventing a tungsten film formed on a glass substrate from peeling off. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device has, on the glass substrate (10), a plurality of pixel electrodes (9a), the tungsten film (11a), constituting at least wiring for driving a plurality of pixel electrodes or some of the electrodes, and an adhesive layer (200) provided in between the glass substrate and tungsten film and formed of titanium nitride or tungsten nitride to bond the glass substrate and tungsten film to each other.
