PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp holding member capable of preventing disconnection, wire biting and the like of lead wires by appropriately treating looseness of the lead wires occurring when intervals of a plurality of fluorescent tubes connected to one another through the lead wires are made nonuniform.

SOLUTION: This lamp holding member holds a plurality of pseudo U-tubes 100 each composed by connecting a plurality of fluorescent lamps 21 to one another through the lead wires 104 by arranging them. The lamp holding member is provided with a plurality of lead wire housing parts 202 and 203 for housing the lead wires 104 of the pseudo U-tubes 100 in a fluorescent tube arrangement direction. The plurality of lead wire housing parts 202 and 203 are structured such that projections 205 and 206 for preventing looseness of the lead wires 104 by engaging the lead wires 104 therewith are formed; and lengths (n) and/or widths (m) of the projections 205 and 206 are made different from one another depending on intervals 1 in the arrangement direction of the plurality of fluorescent lamps 21 constituting the pseudo U-tubes 100.
