PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction plate free of shock during engagement while greatly lowering dragging torque in low and high rotation regions during idling. SOLUTION: In Fig., 40 stands for a friction plate, 41 for a core plate, 42 for a segment piece of a friction material, and 43 for a spline tooth. In the segment piece 42, a first oil groove 51 and a second oil groove 61 are provided which opens to the inner diameter side and which opens to the outer diameter side, respectively. 52 and 62 stand for their ends. An opening portion of the second oil groove 61 is formed in a wide tapered shape. In a high rotation region, negative pressure is generated between the plate faces to suck air, therefore further reducing dragging torque. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
