PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel supporting device reducible in weight by minimizing an outer diameter of a hub spindle of a hub wheel and an arranging pitch circle of a rolling element of a rolling bearing. SOLUTION: This wheel supporting device connects the hub wheel 10 to which a wheel is mounted and a constant velocity joint 50 installed at the end of a driving shaft 51 to each other so as to freely transmit torque, the rolling bearing 20 is installed on the outer peripheral surface of the hub spindle 13 of the hub wheel 10, a connecting member 70 is mounted to the outer peripheral surface of the end of the hub spindle 13 and a cylindrical body 62 is integrally projected at the end of an outer ring 60 of the constant velocity joint 50. The connecting member 70 is formed in a stepped cylindrical shape by having a small diametrical cylinder fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the end of the hub spindle 13 which freely transmits torque and a large diameter part 73 fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 62 so as to freely transmit torque.
