PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the timing and control of a controlled parameter communication and operation event from a sensor device to a cylinder control unit of a multicylinder internal combustion engine, with the same level of accuracy as actual communication performed in real time. SOLUTION: The execution of the operation event performed for each cylinder of the multicylinder internal combustion engine during each combustion cycle is controlled by a method including a step transmitting an instantaneous value to a control unit of the internal combustion engine to look for the execution time of the operation event and perform the control. A parameter signal is sent to at least encoder interface modules 33, 34, is incorporated in a data message, and then is transmitted to a controller interface module by simultaneous transmission. Deviation from message transmission in real time caused by transmission through the communication bus network is corrected by calculation of an estimation value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
