PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-chromium-based coating composition which can form coating films excellent not only in the corrosion resistance of general portions but also in the corrosion resistance of processed portions and end surface portions in coated metal plates and the like. SOLUTION: This coating composition comprising (A) a hydroxyl group-containing coating film-forming resin, (B) a cross-linking agent and (C) a corrosion-resistant pigment mixture is characterized in that the corrosion-resistant pigment mixture (C) comprises 3 to 50 pts.mass of a vanadium compound (1), 3 to 50 pts.mass of fine silica particles (2), and 3 to 50 pts.mass of a phosphate-based metal salt (3) per 100 pts.mass of the total solid content of the resin (A) and the cross-linking agent (B), and the amount of the corrosion-resistant pigment mixture (C) is 10 to 150 pts.mass.
