PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper which prevents deformation of a metal plate although the metal plate is adopted, and exerts a high wiper effect without damaging a cover sliding surface. SOLUTION: The wiper 1 is composed of: an attachment section 4 to be attached to a fixed cover; a main body 2 with a tongue section 5 protruded from the attachment section 4 in an inclining direction relative to the cover sliding surface L; and a metal plate 4 attached to the tongue section 5. The tongue section 5 is located nearly in the whole area in the metal plate 3 on the side opposed to the cover sliding surface L, and the thin section 5a of the front end of the tongue section 5 and the front end of the metal plate 3 are brought into contact with the cover sliding surface L to close the clearance.
