PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing using a retainer having an appropriate strength and being friendly to the living environment of the living thing. SOLUTION: This rolling bearing has the retainer 4 composed of a material formed by adding filler which is sufficiently dispersible to a biodegradable resin as an essential component and which gives strength corresponding to usage. As a more specific example of the filler, mica, talc, fibrous fillers such as glass fiber, metal fiber, poly(vinyl alcohol) fiber, carbon fiber, potassium titanate whisker, zinc oxide whisker, calcium sulfate whisker and aluminum borate whisker or the like can be cited. Addition of the filler gives the retainer 4 sufficient strength and the rolling bearing using the retainer 4 is durable to use for a long time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
