A peripheral device of a gaming machine includes an imaging unit, a memory, and a processor. The memory stores therein a reference data item of a predetermined area of an image that is based on an imaging signal generated by the imaging unit. The memory further stores therein several imaging signals generated by the imaging unit under several different imaging conditions. The processor operates to select, among the imaging signals stored in the memory, such an imaging signal that a data item about an image based thereon is closest to the reference data item of the predetermined area of the image. The processor further operates to set a condition for an imaging by the imaging unit to an imaging condition corresponding to the imaging signal thus selected. |
