Use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis

Use of 111 quinazoline derivatives (I) e.g. 4-[(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)amino]-6-{[4-(morpholin-4-yl)-1-oxo-2-buten-1-yl]-amino}-7-cyclopropylmethoxy-quinazoline and 4-[(3-chloro-4-fluoro-phenyl)amino]-6-(1-methanesulfonyl-piperidin-4-yloxy)-7-methoxy-quinazoline or their tautomers, stereoisomers or salts, to prevent or treat the symptoms of chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyposis and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a medicament in the form of powder for nasal application comprising (I) with an average particle size of approximately 0.1-200 mu m and optionally one or more auxiliary materials; (2) a medicament for nasal application in form of a suspension comprising (I), suspension agent and optionally one or more auxiliary materials; and (3) a medicament for nasal application in form of a solution comprising (I), at least a solvent and optionally one or more auxiliary materials. ACTIVITY : Antiinflammatory. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
