A water purification system for injecting flocculant using discharge cylinders is provided to inject a required sufficient quantity of the flocculant into raw water while actively coping with circumstances that water quality is deteriorated by a rapid increase in the flow rate and turbidity. A water purification system comprises a pair of two discharge cylinders(110,120) collaborated and operated with each other to inject a flocculant into raw water. The water purification system further comprises flocculant injection equipment(100) formed around the discharge cylinders, a flocculant storage vessel(130) for storing the flocculant, a flow meter(150) and a turbidity sensor(160) installed on a raw water supply line(L) to measure flow rate and turbidity of the raw water, an agitator(170) operated to mix the flocculant with water well in a mixing basin, a flocculation sensor(180) for measuring the flocculation degree of the flocculant and contaminants in a flocculation basin, and a controller(140) connected to the respective components to control the components. The flocculant injection equipment includes a first discharge cylinder(110) and a second discharge cylinder(120) alternately operated to suck and discharge the flocculant consistently, and suction lines(115,125), discharge lines, and check valves(116,118,126,128) connected around the first and second discharge cylinders. The discharge cylinders include cylindrical cylinders(111,121), pistons(113,123), motors, pinions, racks, and guide members. |
