<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, an image display method, and a program for separating and analyzing a principal object and a background, and surely retrieving and displaying a photo that evokes a sense of nostalgia. <P>SOLUTION: When image data is input to a server 400, a face part of a person and a background in the image data are separated, and the degree of nostalgia is determined from a facial expression in the face part and a kind of an object in the background.
