摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an ophthalmic instrument while reducing the cost required in the ophthalmic instrument by simplifying the constitution of the ophthalmic instrument for projecting a pattern having a predetermined shape on the cornea and detecting the reflected light from the cornea to measure the shape of the cornea. <P>SOLUTION: The ophthalmic instrument is equipped with a placido pattern projection system 100 for projecting the pattern having the predetermined shape on the corner EC of an eye E to be examined in order to measure the shape of the cornea EC of the eye E to be examined, an anterior eye part observing optical system 10 for observing the eye E to be examined by an area sensor 18 for detecting the reflected light from the cornea EC of the eye E to be examined of the luminous flux having the predetermined shape from the placido pattern projection system 100 and an operational control device 203 for operating the shape of the cornea EC of the eye E to be examined on the basis of the output of the area sensor 18.
