DRIVE CIRCUIT AND DRIVE METHOD OF LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for a light emitting display apparatus that has excellent picture quality when a light emitting element is made to emit light with a desired brightness level.

SOLUTION: A pixel circuit having a light emitting element for emitting a light having brightness determined based on supplied current and a drive transistor for supplying the current to the light emitting device. Provided is a period wherein operational amplifies (AMP7, AMP8) of a threshold value correcting circuit are used to save a potential including the threshold value of the drive transistor (Tr10) in a capacitive element (19) of the pixel circuit. The potential of the capacitive element (19) is input to a gate potential of the drive transistor (Tr10) in a light emission element drive period to control the brightness of the capacitive element (9) with the value of current flowing at this time. The threshold value correcting circuit may be provided for each pixel circuit array.
