<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for a light emitting display apparatus that has excellent picture quality when a light emitting element is made to emit light with a desired brightness level. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit having a light emitting element for emitting a light having brightness determined based on supplied current and a drive transistor for supplying the current to the light emitting device. Provided is a period wherein operational amplifies (AMP7, AMP8) of a threshold value correcting circuit are used to save a potential including the threshold value of the drive transistor (Tr10) in a capacitive element (19) of the pixel circuit. The potential of the capacitive element (19) is input to a gate potential of the drive transistor (Tr10) in a light emission element drive period to control the brightness of the capacitive element (9) with the value of current flowing at this time.
