<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a user, who is less attuned to an image quality adjustment, to perform the most suitable image quality adjustment by simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device which applies a set parameter group for image quality adjustment to input image data to display an image, acquires parameter groups for image quality adjustment from a plurality of parameter groups for image quality adjustment registered with external devices, through a communication network and applies different parameter groups for image quality adjustment including the acquired parameter groups for image quality adjustment to image data to generate a plurality of pieces of original image data for comparison and generates image data for comparison which represents images for comparison resulting from combining a plurality of images to which different parameter groups for image quality adjustment have been applied. The images for comparison are displayed on the generated image data for comparison, and the user is allowed to select one image out of a plurality of images which are included in the images for comparison and are different by applied parameter groups for image quality adjustment, and the set parameter group for image quality adjustment is set on the basis of the paramter group for image quality adjustment applied to the selected image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
