<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector having a low dark current and reducing an afterimage. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation detector comprises: a first electrode 1 applied with positive bias voltage for transmitting a recording magnetic wave carrying image information; a recording optical conductive layer 3 for generating electric charges upon irradiation of an electromagnetic wave; an organic polymer layer 4 laminated between the first electrode 1 and the recording optical conductive layer 3; and a second electrode 2 provided oppositely to the side where the first electrode 1 is provided for the recording optical conductive layer 3.
