PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bug detector that precisely detects the presence of a bug. SOLUTION: The bug detector for detecting a hidden bug includes an audio signal generator, an identification decoder and controller. The audio signal generator generates a specific audio signal for reception by the microphone of the bug so that the corresponding radio signal is transmitted through the radio transmitter. The identification decoder receives the radio signal for decoding, so that a decoded audio signal is obtained. The controller is connected to the audio signal generator and identification decoder respectively so as to determine the specific audio signal transmitted by the audio signal generator. Additionally, the controller judges whether or not the decoded audio signal transmitted by the identification decoder is in response to the specific audio signal and determines the presence or absence of the bug.
