PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector having an image control function for smooth presentation. SOLUTION: The projector 10 includes an image data receiving means 110 of receiving image data 22 including (n-1)th, (n)th, and (n+1)th image data supplied in time series from a PC 20, a projection image update event generating means 140 of generating a predetermined (n)th projection image update event 142 in association with update from the (n)th image data to the (n+1)th image data, a projection object image data update means 150 of updating image data 122 to be projected from the (n-1)th image data to the (n)th image data, a projection image generating means 130 of generating a projection image 132 based upon the image data 122 to be projected, and a projecting means 180 of projecting the projection image 132.
