PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoratively working apparatus which changes the color of the surface of a Cu-Al alloy. SOLUTION: This decoratively working apparatus comprises: a quartz pipe 2 which accommodates a Cu-Al alloy 21 therein; a diffusion furnace 1 which heats the alloy accommodated in the quartz pipe 2 at a temperature at which Al that composes the alloy reacts but Cu does not react; and a gas pipe 6 for transporting an oxidizing gas for Al toward the quartz pipe 2. The Cu-Al alloy 21 has the surface in which Al concentration is controlled to 0.6 to 5%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
