AN OPERATING DEVICE FOR BELLOWS OF PASSENGER LOADING BRIDGE

An operating device for the bellows of a passenger loading bridge includes at least a set of telescopic arms provided on both sides of a portal frame (12). Each arm comprises: an upper arm (31) pivotably attached to the post of the portal frame on one end; a lower arm (32) connected to the other end of the upper arm via a hinge and the other end of the lower arm pivotably attached to the top of a flexible frame (11); an actuator (33) controlled by the control system and comprising a telescopic rod (331) and a sleeve body (332) accommodating the rod; and an over-pressure protecting device (4). One end of the telescopic rod is hinged to the lower arm, and one end of the sleeve body is hinged to the upper arm. The over-pressure protecting device can damper the force between the bellows and the fuselage, and it is connected to the control system to stop the telescopic rod extending/retracting when the force is larger than a determined value. The operating device can realize well sealing with an airplane having significant varying contour. It has simple structure and can prevent the fuselage from deforming and damaging as cracked or crushed by the bellows.
