An air cleaner for an elevator is provided to entirely sterilize germs in the air by including a plurality of ceramic filters to facilitate absorption of the germs. An air cleaner for an elevator includes a main body, a filter box, an air blower, and a sterilization box(4). The sterilization box includes an air intake(4a) at a lower part and an air outlet(4b) at an upper part. The sterilization box further includes UV sterilization lamps(41) inside an air cleaning cover(43). The air cleaning cover includes a plurality of air passing apertures(43a) at upper and lower parts and a photocatalyst coating layer of which the surface is coated with titanium dioxide.
