METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ORIGINAL DISK FOR OPTICAL DISK AND OPTICAL DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk master always forming a pit column with high dimension accuracy regardless of the length of the preceding space even though a thermosensitive resist is used, and to provide an optical disk.

SOLUTION: A light emission pattern to be used for cutting during manufacturing an optical disk master is changed so that the pulse width Tt(n) of the first heating pulse St satisfies the relation Tt(n)≤Tt(n+1) in accordance with the length nT of a space 10 to thereby always form a pit latent image 20 with high dimension accuracy regardless of the length of the preceding space 10. The optical disk 50 manufactured on the basis of the optical disk master 3 similarly has a pit column 30b with high dimension accuracy to obtain an excellent playback characteristic.
