HYDROPHILIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND INKJET RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic resin composition that has both properties of ink receptivity and water resistance and to provide an inkjet recording material.

SOLUTION: The hydrophilic resin composition comprises a hydrophilic resin, an acrylic monomer and/or an acrylic oligomer, and a curing initiator wherein the coefficient of area expansion at the time when 24 hours have passed since immersing the resin composition in water before it is cured is 4 times or more; and the coefficient of area expansion at the time when 24 hours have passed since immersing the resin composition in water after it is cured is 1.7 times or less.
