<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet alloy having sufficient magnetic properties while containing a comparatively small amount of a rare earth element. <P>SOLUTION: The magnet has an alloy composition formula of R<SB>w</SB>T<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>Y<SB>z</SB>(wherein R represents a rare earth element including at least one element of Nd, Pr, Dy, Ho and Tb except Y; T represents Fe, or its alloy in which a part of Fe is replaced by Co of 20% or less; and M represents B, or B and C), and the composition ratios of w, x, y and z satisfy the expressions of 3.0≤w≤5.0 at%, x=100-w-y-z, 6.0≤y≤8.0 at%, and 0.1≤z≤1.0 at%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
