<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently cooling devices disposed in the apparatus, which are objects against which a current of air needs to be blown. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an inlet 42 formed in the front of a housing 2a; and a blowing fan 700 for creating a current of air guided from the inlet 42 and used for cooling the inside objects required to be cooled. The inlet 42 is formed in a recess 40 formed in the appropriate part of the front of the housing 2a. A cover member 20 of a shape corresponding to the recess 40 is fitted in the recess 40 so as to cover the front of the inlet 42. A gap 60 communicating with the inlet 42 is disposed between the edges of all the sides of the cover member 20 and the recess 40. An intake guide member 30 with an intake guide port 33 along which air introduced to the inlet 42 is guided is disposed between the cover member 20 and the bottom of the recess 40.
