<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with an attachment having a plurality of operation modes in which the degree of freedom can be enhanced for a user at the time of starting. <P>SOLUTION: It is judged whether an inserter power saving switch and a power switch are depressed simultaneously or not (S11). If the inserter power saving switch and the power switch are depressed simultaneously, all apparatus transit to stand-by mode (S12-S14) and the image forming apparatus is actuated under power saving state. If the inserter power saving switch is not depressed and only the power switch is depressed (NO at S11), the stand-by mode is set in the image forming mainframe (S16), but the inserter and a post-processor warm up to enter operating state (S17, S18) and an output can be delivered from the post-processor 13 (S19). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
