<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic surgical stapler having a curved end effector which is configured to deploy staples at least on a curved staple line. <P>SOLUTION: In various embodiments, the automatic surgical stapler includes a staple cartridge, an anvil, and a cutting member which has a cutting surface and moves relatively with respect to the anvil and the staple cartridge. In an embodiment, the staple cartridge is configured to arrange the staples along different and non-parallel axes. Consequently, the staples are arranged on the significantly curved staple line.
