<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating fan for a duct lightweight, compact, easily handled, low in noise and easily maintained. <P>SOLUTION: The ventilating fan for the duct comprises a box type housing 1 made of foam resin, a fan 7 mounted to the inner top face, and a motor 6 for driving the fan 7. The housing 1 is formed by joining two parts of split shape. The motor 6 is mounted to the inner top face of the housing 1 by a motor presser 12 comprising a support face 16 formed with a circular hole for fitting the output shaft side bearing part, side plates 17 formed by bending both ends of the support face 16, and fixed parts 18 formed by bending the ends of the side plates 17 outward. The motor presser 12 is fixed to support the motor 6 by thread-fastening the fixed parts 18 and a receiving plate 21 arranged on the outside upper face of the housing 1, so as to hold the upper face of the housing 1.
