PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a display device having the shape other than a rectangle easily and with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the display device has a lamination process for laminating a first substrate base material, having a plurality of first substrates and a second substrate base material that has a plurality of second substrates so that the first substrates and the second substrates face each other via a sealing member to form a laminated substrate base material 34; and a segmentation process for segmenting the laminated substrate base material 34 to form a plurality of laminated substrates 10, having a set of the first substrates, the second substrates and the sealing member 15.
