PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust and determine a monitoring area without requiring a long time by facilitating the recognition of the center of an entire detection range even from the outside. SOLUTION: An area monitoring and detecting part 4 for monitoring a monitoring area including the intrusion of a human body into the monitoring area from a detection surface is housed in and fixed to a turning body 3 which can perform a turning operation with respect to a device body 2, and a peephole 18 with a prescribed diameter is formed so as to be exposed to the outside, and provided with the detection surface of the area monitoring and detecting part 4 side by side. A confirming light emitting part 6 is provided with a light emission part located at a deep part of the peephole 18 corresponding to an almost center of the entire monitoring area. A user looks into the peephole 18 to recognize the almost center of the monitoring area from a position of his/her eye line where the light emission of the confirming light emitting part 6 in the peephole 18 can be confirmed.
